| MakeMusicPDX is all about recreational music-making opportunities in and around Portland, Oregon. Regardless of your ability, age or experience, we invite you to join us in group and ensemble music-making.
We believe that making music is an untapped creative outlet for lots of people. Maybe you're playing alone in a basement or garage, on the bus or at the park. Maybe you have been taking lessons for years and just want a chance to try out your new skills. Or maybe you gave up playing music earlier in life and now want to dust off your voice or instrument and give it another try! Then MakeMusicPDX is for you!
Music is a powerful tool for improving health and well-being - not to mention how it promotes a lively feeling of community for everyone who participates. It is a way to connect with others who just want to play music without it having to always sound perfect. One of our goals is to offer periodic workshops and seminars to enhance the experience of being a recreational musician. And we want to be a voice for promoting music in everyone’s life.

Depending on interest, groups will form to play blues, jazz, folk, country, bluegrass and other musical bents. But you have to register first so we know who is out there!
